Actword recruits technical translators and proofreaders. Native speakers of the target language who understand/read Japanese are preferred.

After you have completed and returned it by e-mail, we will reply to you if you are accepted.

• Position: freelance technical translator/proofreader (English)
• If you wish the proofreader position, you must be a native English speaker.
• Translator of English <- -> other languages is welcome.
• An understanding of Japanese is preferable, but not essential.


• Field: IT (computer), telecommunications, machinery, legal (contracts), patents, medical.


• Conditions of payment: We close payment at the end of every month and pay 40 days after the closing date. For example, all payments for April are paid on June 10.
  If transmitting to an offshore account, we will deduct a remittance charge from the payment.
